OLD HILL-TOP

After the prohibition Cap leased the building to Tucker North. His family owned North Construction out of Jackson, Michigan. It was called Hilltop Brewing Company according to the Registry of the United States Breweries. The following year it was renamed Haehnle Brewing Company.

They produced several beers including Old Hill-Top Brew, Old Hill-Top Ale, XX Export, Old Master Beer and Old Master Ale. The Brewmaster was Frank Freundl. Cap Haehnle was still involved in the brewing business but his attention was directed in different areas. In 1933, he founded and Managed the Silver Foam Brewing Company in Battle Creek. A vintage Peninsular Brewery advertisement from the late 1800s. One of the earliest advertisements from Casper Haehnle 1. There is an old trade card with the same verbage.
