Fred G Adler Bottling Works

Fred Adler was an avid bottler in Jackson Michigan. He was very well respected and well known as a bottler and businessman. At one time he was an employee for the Haehnle brewing company. Fred is the recipient of beer who Casper is pouring to.

Fred Adler also had a Saloon and pool hall next to the Otsego Hotel in Jackson.

C.O.D. Bottling Works Property of Fred G Adler, Jackson, Michigan. This quart sized bottle came in several colors: Clear, aqua, peacock or cornflower blue, and the rarest color coming in medium cobalt or Sapphire blue as seen in the photo above.

This is a good example of one of Fred’s bottles. This is called the “C.O.D.” Bottle from Jackson, Michigan. In Cornflower blue I think the C.O.D. Is a reference to cash on delivery.
